How we handle it
Income mapping
We identify every head of income — salary, business, property, capital gains, foreign remittance — so nothing is missed or misclassified.
Credits and adjustments
Withholding already deducted on your banking, mobile, vehicle and property transactions is claimed against your liability.
Wealth reconciliation
Your assets and liabilities are reconciled with declared income, which is the single most common reason returns attract scrutiny.
Filing and confirmation
The return is submitted, any balance paid, and we confirm your name on the Active Taxpayer List.
Documents you will need
Send what you have — we will tell you what is missing before anything is submitted, so nothing gets rejected on a technicality.
- CNIC and IRIS credentials
- Salary certificate or annual income summary
- Bank statements for the tax year
- Withholding tax deduction certificates
- Details of property, vehicles and investments
- Last year's return, if you have filed before
Income Tax-Return Filing questions
Still unsure? Call +92 339 6752500 and speak to a consultant directly.
- What does filing cost?
- Salaried individual returns start at Rs. 2,500. Business, AOP and company returns are quoted after we see the volume of transactions involved — we confirm the fee before starting work.
- When is the filing deadline?
- The tax year runs to 30 June, and returns for individuals and AOPs are generally due by 30 September, with companies on a later date. FBR frequently notifies extensions, so we confirm the current deadline with you rather than relying on last year's date.
- What happens if I file late?
- Late filing attracts penalties and surcharge, and you may be excluded from the Active Taxpayer List — which means higher withholding tax on banking, property and vehicle transactions. Late filing is still far better than not filing.
- I am salaried and tax is already deducted. Must I still file?
- Yes. Deduction at source is not a return. If you do not file, you will not appear on the ATL and will be charged non-filer rates on many transactions despite having paid your tax.
- Do freelancers with foreign income need to file?
- Yes, and it is usually to your advantage. Properly declared export-of-services income is taxed at a concessional rate, and filing creates the documented income history banks require for loans and visas.
